The first stop we will be sightseeing at night in Baku is one of the most culturally important parks in the entirety of the capital. The Upland Park is a highlight of every late evening excursion in Baku. It is located at the top point of the business center of the city. Walking through the alleys, looking at the views and beautiful promenade areas you’ll learn all about the importance of this place, all about the events that happened there and probably the best part – the gorgeous landscapes that open before your eyes once you reach the platform. There, every part of the city is visible from that standing point, the lights of Baku and skyscrapers by the sealine. The park, which was founded at the beginning of the 20-th century and has been everyone’s (both local’s and tourist’s) favourite ever since.
Baku Boulevard is an enormously large and beautiful, but it would take hours to explore all of it so on our evening excursion we will visit one of the most enchanting parts of it – Little Venice. This part of Baku Boulevard is styled to match a replica of Italian’s city of Venice. This part of our tour consists of a peaceful walk along the water, shared stories about the history and culture of Baku and enjoy the beauty of this city in the late evening.
Baku is full of architectural masterpieces that are waiting to be found and the Government House situated just across the road from the Baku Boulevard. That beautiful building’s construction is dated back to the Stalin era and it laces the beauty of Azerbaijani motives with the classical architecture of that time. The creating of this beautiful building though took a long time, 16 years, but we can confirm that at the end of the day, all the trouble was worth it because one singular look at that majestic construction can leave anyone breathless.
This award-winning wonder (it took home the "Best Architectural Design on the Planet" title in 2014!) was designed by the iconic Zaha Hadid, one of the 21st century's most influential architects. The center itself is a sight to behold, but the beautiful park complex that surrounds it deserves its own moment of fame as well. Here's where your Baku night tour takes a fascinating turn. Your guide will weave a captivating story that combines the history of the Heydar Aliyev Center, the life of Heydar Aliyev (a prominent figure in Azerbaijan's history), the genius of architect Zaha Hadid, and the other illuminated landmarks you've passed along the way. This insightful finale paints a vivid picture of Baku's nightlife and its stunning blend of history and modern marvels. After this, you'll take a relaxing ride through the city's lit-up streets one final time before heading back to your hotel.
