Sheki Day Trip

Our journey will begin with a stop in Shamakha, where a morning treat awaits us in a cozy restaurant. Here, you can enjoy an authentic Azerbaijani breakfast: fragrant mountain honey, delicate Shamakha cheese, and a fresh omelet with juicy tomatoes. Each dish is filled with the taste of nature and the warm colors of local traditions.

After breakfast, we drive through the Ismailli Forests, the green heart of Azerbaijan. We will stop here for a tea break among the mighty oaks and maples, enjoying the peace and freshness.

The Ismailli Forests are a place where you can find harmony with nature and feel its strength and beauty. The landscapes here leave unforgettable impressions and a desire to return again.

The next stage of our journey will be a trip to Sheki. Our first stop there is the Sheki Khan’s Palace. The tour will allow you to feel the atmosphere of that era, recreate an authentic picture of life in the past, and transport you for a few moments to the times of the Azerbaijani khanates.

The Sheki Khans Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Sheki, Azerbaijan. It was built in the late 18th century by the Sheki Khans, a powerful dynasty that ruled in this part of Azerbaijan for over 200 years. The palace is a stunning example of 18th-century Azerbaijani architecture. It is home to a number of beautiful rooms. The palace is also surrounded by beautiful gardens.

The Sheki Caravanserai is a historic sight located in the city of Sheki, Azerbaijan. It was built in the 18th century and is still functioning as a hotel. The caravanserai was once a stopover for travelers on the Silk Road. The caravanserai also features a number of shops that sell traditional Azerbaijani souvenirs and handicrafts.

During this tour, you will also visit a number of old shops, where you can not only buy Sheki silk, souvenirs, dishes, jewelry and much more, but also taste Sheki sweets, which are famous not only for their unique taste, but also for their elegance. after all, these masterpieces of cooking are the work of entire generations of Sheki halva masters, transmitting the manufacturing technique for centuries.

Located on a picturesque hilltop, the Sheki Panoramic Park offers breathtaking views of the city. Take a moment to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers of World War II at the memorial within the park. You will have great photos capturing the breathtaking beauty of Sheki.

Before visiting the Caucasian Albania Temple, we will stop for lunch at the museum’s restaurant, which has been warmly welcoming guests for over 20 years.

You will enjoy the legendary Sheki Piti — a hearty lamb soup cooked and served in clay pots, accompanied by fresh salad and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. We will continue our tour after discovering the true essence of Sheki through its exquisite cuisine

In one of the oldest settlements in modern Azerbaijan — Kish — stands a unique architectural monument: the Caucasian Albania Temple. This traditional Caucasian village becomes a true gem of our cultural tour of Sheki, offering an exceptional glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.

The return journey is a blur of happy exhaustion. We hop on the bus, the rhythm of the wheels a lullaby after our whirlwind Sheki tour.
